NATIONAL SEMINAR ON DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITAL LIBRARIES IN IPR REGIME, 08-09 JUNE, 2013 ORGANIZED SUCCESSFULLY BY MADHU LIMAYE LIBRARY, DR. RAM MANOHAR LOHIYA NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, LUCKNOW, U.P., INDIA.
The seminar was inaugurated by the chief guest Prof. Abhishek Mishra, Hon'ble minister of state for science and technology, Govt, of Uttar Pradesh alongwith Prof. Gurdip Singh, Vice-chancellor of the university, Prof. N. Laxman Rao, emeritus professor of Library and information science, Prof. B. N. Pandey, Faculty of Law, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Dr. Maneesh Bajpai, Librarian in-charge and organizing secretary of the seminar. The compendium of the seminar was released by the chief guest and other dignitaries of the dais.
The minister has promised and assured the audience to implement the U.P. Library Act in the state very soon.
The chief guest of the valedictory session Dr. R. C. Gaur, University Librarian, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi had ended the session with the hope that inspite of criticizing the Law, we have to work according and under the law.
