Open e-Law Library

We,Madhu Limaye Library of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow is one of the leading University library in providing access to the research resources and through innovative library services to the academic fraternity. We are not only focusing on subscribed resources but also providing access to Open Education Resources since 2010 to our students and faculty members through our Library Home Page and Web-OPAC on the intranet.

But, keeping in view the impact of the COVID-19 and lockdown, we have developed a portal, namely 'Open e-Law Library' and make it public because we understand that there are various students and faculty members in the field of Law of various colleges/universities/organizations who do not have access to subscribed e-resources. Therefore, we planned this portal in such a way that students and faculty members may utilize the best OER resources and online learning tools in imparting the research and study in the field of Law.

A free academic assistance facility has also been started by the library. The 'Open e-Law Library' portal was made available to the public on 09th April 2020. It is developed on free CMS. It may be accessed through https://openelibrary.webnode.com/

The portal is been designed to meet the information need of the researcher, student, and faculty members. The Open Educational and Free  Resources, Research Tools & Online teaching & Learning Tools   are categorised under 09 categories:
  1. CASE LAWS & JUDGMENTS
  2. LEGISLATION AND CODES
  3. RESEARCH CONTENTS
  4. LAW JOURNALS
  5. BOOKS
  6. COMMISSION REPORTS
  7. VIDEO LECTURES
  8. CITATION MANAGEMENT TOOL/SYSTEM

Under these categories legislation, judgments of the tribunals, High Courts and Supreme court of India and UK, US, Canada etc, e-books, e-journals, e-contents, thesis are available. Millions of Full-Text OER research contents may be accessed through this platform. It is free from registration and fee.
